Hm, It's been a very long time since I've blogged. And even then, it was a whole different subject. Anyway, I'll try this again. I'm Katie, a 22 year old mommy of two little girls. My oldest, Aurora, is three and very outgoing. She's a friendly and exciting little one. Her younger sister is Mirabelle, who is one, and very different, personality wise. Their father, my other half for five years now, is Justin.

I'm a full time college student, going for a degree in Human Services. I'd love to be a family counselor. At the same time, I have a strong desire to be a midwife. We'll see if there's room enough for both of those (:

Basically, I guess the point of this blog is to share my experiences, regarding personal life, parenting, school, etc. I'll post my labor experiences soon enough. Childbirth can be so rough. I had two completely different, and one quite amazing, experiences, and I think it's really important for women to know they can have that, too.

In our household, we've struggled with delayed speech (not by much, it was slight), extreme temper tantrums, and on my part, Post Partum Depression [PPD]. I still struggle with it. It's a daily thing. It's going on three years strong, and I finally saw a counselor for it, and we're actually finishing up a 12 week session.

Anyway, I guess that's that! This week, I have to deal with finals, and then I'm onto Christmas break! I became pregnant with Aurora while I was in my first year of college. I went to a private, all girls school, for Computer Science/Mathematics. I did plan to be a Computer Engineer, but had to take time off after I had Aurora. And now, I'm finally able to get back into school. And I've done exceptionally well, in my opinion! There's a class I'm struggling in, and I'm not nearly as good as writing essays as I used to be. My strengths have changed over the years, but regardless, I've kept a 3.7 gpa, and received an invite to an Honor Society! Can you even imagine how proud I am of myself? With that gpa, two daughters, and having been out of school for three years? I'm so proud of myself. :D
